thanks! my friend has a canon powershot sx10is, which is pretty much the canon equivalent.. it seems to take better photos in poor lighting conditions, not as much noise.. this camera you really need to fiddle with the manual options to take good photos in poor lighting.. and the canon powershot has a hot shoe for flashes or whatever u want which is handy. i wanted to take this camera into a studio and hook it up to the sync lead to sync it with the studio lights, but i couldnt as it doesnt have sync lead input.. and i could have put an adapter into the hot shoe but it doesnt have a hot shoe so i cant really use this camera in a studio.. but if u dont have a need for a hot shoe this camera is great.. esp the zoom aspect of it. sometimes i feel the photos of things far away turn out better then ones taken within a few meters.
